  • SURPRISE!

    Update!
    ...not really.

I got flowers today. They're beautiful, and they motivated me to finally throw out the old dead flowers that had been sitting on my desk for months. They were moldy and gross. These ones are alive though, and they match my outfit today.

Matt and I went to Kings this morning for breakfast. It was good, but I feel sick every time I eat. And some old man was staring at me, so that was kind of weird, but maybe a little bit flattering at the same time. And I think I saw Courtney's grandpa too, but I wasn't completely sure.

I've spent the past couple of days catching up with everyone's summers. I keep thinking... this is our senior year. This is the last time we'll all be together. We gotta make the most of it.

And how have we done that so far? Well, by not spending any time with each other.

    So I'm changing that.
I've got more work to do. Talk to you again, dear Xanga, in another five months or so.

  • I figured if I'm going to keep with the idea of making a new post each month, I better get with it soon. I started new entries on here a few times, but nothing ever seemed too important. Maybe none of this is important either, but it really does feel like it. It's all thrown into another big vacation...

We didn't have school Thursday, Friday, or today. Thursday I was supposed to go to Krysta's. Actually, I think she was going to have a party but no one could come, and then people started fighting with one another and it got crazy. I woke up Thursday morning feeling entirely too lazy to possibly go anywhere. Matt called and sort of forced me into getting dressed. Called Krysta, but her mom answered the phone and told me she was at Heather's. Made a few calls, and the next thing I knew I was sitting on a bench at the mall with Matt, a Jones soda, and two boxes of Play-Doh, waiting for Ryan, Madds, and Heather to get there. We went to see "When a Stranger Calls" at the movies. It was great... not too much gore or anything. And Anne was sitting in the back row, screaming her lungs out, which made it even better. Ryan wound up with a lap full of his own popcorn (hahaha... that sounds dirty), and we all sat outside on the pavement and fondled some Play-Doh. Everyone went home, except for a select few of us who got to our houses about forty minutes late.
Friday had a lot of the same features as Thursday, but really, the whole weekend was like a never ending... umm... I really don't know. Ferris wheel could be close. I went to Matt's house after he presented his senior project, and we sat on the couch idly for hours, watching guys fucking pie, band fags, and their friend's mother. Then he whipped out the GPS (which, by the way, gets confused by hills) and headed for Benihana's. I totally kicked ass at Padiddle, so much so that I dreamt about it... Turns out that you needed a reservation for Benihana's, so we drove around for awhile before we decided on Max and Erma's. I feel like I'm just repeating everything I already told my melo, so fuck this.
Every time we ride past the Ramada in Washington, I feel this yearning to stay in a hotel/motel. I love being in a new room, with a different bed with clean sheets and fluffy covers. It's like opening the door to a beach room for the first time. I miss that .
Saturday was SAT Prep in the morning, eye appointment in the afternoon, and uncomfortable (but necessary) chats with my mom sometime in between. Went home, and Matt came over after he was done working so we could curl up on the couch and further discuss the dilemma my dear mother brought about. Talk about fun... Actually, it was fun, but that's just because Matt's amazing.
Sunday was exciting. Tehehehe. Good fun, good fun... two HOURS of good fun.
Monday: I'm pretty much spent. Still got a whole shitload of homework to finish. AND... we got my prom dress today. I'm excited.

REALLLLYYY don't want to go back to school tomorrow. Or ever. It just needs to be summer again so I can relax. OORRR so I can go work for my dad again, make some money, play some tennis, and see how band's going to turn out this year.
    Can't wait. Ugh. Dread.

  • An entry to start off the new year (sort of).
I felt really sick for half of today, but things got a lot better. And when I say "a lot better," what I really mean is that I got my mind so caught up on "other things" that I completely forgot about the knot in my stomach, the fact that I puked in the middle of gym class right after lunch, and the possibility that I was fevered. In fact, I feel SO GOOD right now that not even that giant English project that's due on Wednesday is scaring me. I want to get it done tonight, but at the same time I couldn't care less. It's in my lap. So close, but still so far away.

My Christmas was wonderful, for hating Christmas and all. I'm not really sure what I got because I just don't care about that kind of stuff, but I do remember a digital camera and three pairs of underwear. And I STILL have all of my friends' gifts in my bedroom because I was too lazy to take them to school today. As for the actual day... We got up too early, ate some casserole (well, I didn't... I made eggs), opened presents, blah blah blah. My grandparents came over. My grandma ended up smoking in our bathroom and pissing my mom off. She's recovering from surgery to remove cancer that was caused by smoking. I think you can see why we were pissed. Oh yeah, and the house smelled like smoke. Anyways... all that, other things, food... then my sister and I went to my aunt's house next door. Always fun. Matt came over to my house because crazy things happened after I left with some phone calls and my mom. So I had to go pick him up over there because he didn't have a flashlight. Man... he looked so good in that new leather jacket. And it was just so cute, him sitting on the couch in the middle of the living room with my grandparents, without me. My grandma loves him. She keeps saying he's "awesome" lol. We went back to my aunt's house, and my dad was like flipping out. I always get in trouble for things I didn't do. He was just in a bad mood because he was sick though, so he continued to pick on everyone all thoughtout the night. It was pretty bad. We had a weird little grab bag (I got a green fleece blanket that I'll definitely be putting to good use) and everyone went home. Well, Matt came over, which is kind of the same.
The next day we went out to lunch at Garfield's with my sister, dad, and my dad's girlfriend. Fun, fun... what with the freaky old ladies staring at me and the panic attacks. Then Matt left and we went to see King Kong. Way too long. My dad took me and my sister back to his house, where we exchanged Christmas gifts (Oh boy! A cell phone! I'm so glad everyone was listening when I said, "Hey, DON'T buy me a cell phone. I reeeaaaaallllyyyy don't want one, so it'd just be a big waste of money on your part.").
The next morning, Matt came and got me reeeeaaaallll early, and we went to eat pancakes at Bob Evans. Delicious. Dan waited on us. He totally needs to date my best friend. Then we rode around for awhile before he needed to go to work. No, actually, we went to his house and took a nap. The rest of the day never existed. I think I was dragged out of the house and forced to go shopping though.
Megan and I terrorized Pittsburgh on the 28th. We rode around in circles for a long time because Megan was all confused, and instead of going to the Strip District we went straight to the Warhol. It was pretty nifty. Especially the naked pictures lol. Naw, I liked the Rolling Stones display. We took tons of pictures in the Cloud Room, then went to lunch and saved some more money. Really good cheesesteaks. Quick summary: shopped, bought a belt, CD, and some smoothies, lost car, found car. Came home exhausted.
Finally went to see the lights at Oglebay the next night. We didn't "get lost" this time. Well... heh. The night could have been better if it weren't for some "unpleasant surprises." But I digress.
I'm pretty sure Friday was my day off. Worked on some English homework, but not much. And then Matt might have come over, but I'm not sure. The days run together. But the next night...
New Year's Eve. Amazing. The ball dropped and I was the only one who had someone to kiss. It was weird, but so wonderful. And somehow, Matt and I both convinced our parents to let him spend the night. I still don't know how that happened. He looks damn good in pink Care Bear pajama pants. What more can I say... it was a wonderful night.
The night morning (which was pretty much the same thing as the night before, considering I didn't go to bed till nine thirty, and Matt didn't sleep at all...) we ate some Rice Crispies. Matt left for work (he had to open ) and I watched Mr. Roger's and the beginning to Dogma yet again. Curled up with Batman, but it just wasn't the same. Then it was off to Steve's party. Cake, Willy Wonka, milkshakes, missing leather jacket. End story.

It was a jam-packed vacation. That's the main reason I hated going back to school today.

  • It's time for my monthly entry!
It seems as though there's nothing to bitch about...
    Wow. That was awfully short.
    See ya next month!

Hahaha. Just kidding. Did you seriously think I couldn't find anything worth complaining over? I bet I can. Take, for example, my dickass teachers (yes, DICKASS) who like to assign all kinds of asinine assignments (tehehe...) three days before our vacation. And all I can think about is what I'm gonna be doing over the break...
It's funny because I don't even KNOW what I'm going to be during over the break, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that parts of it probably have something to do with the temporary destruction of couches.

Today on the way home from school, I was wondering what the world would be like if snow weren't white, but rather purple or red or lime green. Would the world seem less pure in the winter?

That's not quite how I wanted to phrase that, but I got sidetracked by this stupid chem lab report.

About Me

  • The easiest way to learn anything about me is by looking past the obvious, into a place where everything is seemingly off-topic. Someday it'll all fall together like the ending to a great book, but there's still going to be questions in your head that make you want to read the sequel.
